Go make a song and upload it. That's a creation. Make a music video for it. Creation. Talking into a camera trying to sell me a plug-in you got for free? You're a cut-price sales person. Not a creator.
Get a real job and go back to making videos for fun. Or don't. Only a handful of people can make a real job out of Youtube. For everybody else it's a fools errand.
Guess what. I work hard at work too. But I got a job that is likely to actually, you know, have a chance at paying me actual wages. And I don't go about whinging in public if I'm not doing so well. Quite the opposite.
Bunch of snivelly whingers the lot of them. Except for all the ones that aren't :-)
To be fair, there are quite a few channels I really enjoy. The 'review' type channels less so on the whole. The whole embargo-drop rush for views is depressing.
it's not really their fault... youtube dictates certain terms (thumbnails included) in order for a "creator" to make any money... they tightly control the whole game... thus most "creators" have turned into paid-off robots.
i've been in the youtube game since the start and have seen the corporate takeover slowly happen... and unfortunately, it's not just youtube... it's the whole enchilada.
it's tough for most people to turn down money and keep their own voice, especially if there are threats involved... more and more people, for whatever reason, are selling out for the almighty dollar.
