received my unit yesterday and, after spending hours getting to know it, am happy to report that this is essential for anyone after that saturation sound that only tubes can provide, and it easily competes against - in some cases beats - saturation units i've owned or still own costing 3-5X more.

i feed it with a pair of API 550A's or B's and the texture is magic. ranges from that elusive tube glow through rich, warm, electric enhancement all the way into cursed wavefolding, unrecognizable shards and beyond. all of this without any harshness or noise until you're up past 3 o'clock *in the boosted mode*.

my unit did have some small QC issues fresh out of the box, and the bright white lights could be toned down, but for the sound and immediacy of interaction you get at under $800..? come on, wtf, it's a no-brainer. i plan on buying another one to use for tracking.
