The HF limiter in relative mode is in my experience pretty similar in its action to how the classic dbx 902 de-esser works and it’s one of my favorite de-essers! I usually have limiter6 with just the HF limiter engaged on my vocal bus where it’s just catching just some stray consonants that come from summing multiple vocal tracks, even if they’ve been de-essed individually.
Hi, thanks for the detailed answer! So the phase rotation will perhaps do something similar to the phase rotation knob in Slick eq? I’ll listen to some low freq material, thanks!
Limiter 6 will also be on buses, and with some work maybe replace the hw Fatso I’ve been using on my 2 bus, using the hf limit and clipper with a soft knee. Cool about the Dbx de-esser, the hf limiter was actually what got my attention in the first place. But what a great sounding dynamic power house this is! With my favorite ui’s in the business. I’m now a happy total bundle owner:-) thanks TDR
