I built a few channels of preamp/distortion based on the MS-20 ESP (just the preamp stage, without any filter...) because I like what it does to synths and drums (I plan to use them with my TR-8S actually); I started in June but I finished the build this month... it took a lot because I went for stepped controls instead of pots (so I can closely match the channels for stereo use), so I had to solder a lot of resistors.
- I bought a few metal boxes because my local electronic components store was clearing them out (they'll keep selling other metal boxes, but they were clearing the stock of the boxes that I often like to use for my projects...)
