I forgot to say, since writing that, I found the problem may be the rotary knob, It will not stay in place between the 2 preset marks (there is no line on the knob face like the other knobs on the unit. Just the preset name and LED light). You can only do it by feel. You put it between presets and it automatically wonders/slips into the position above or below. I am guessing my particular unit has a too high tensile mech on that knob.
Its also a used unit, and I doubt Yamaha would be very forthcoming. .... The Yamaha agent at the other end of the phone could just reply,........ 'Sir, I have absolutely no idea what acoustic piano sound you are referring to?'
