Looks unappealing but it sounds insane!
I really hate subs in general and their integration, but Flexbase is a smooth extension. Plug and play: mess with the crossover, volume, done. It's mad the way it feels like a super calibrated system when I just opened the box, set stuff up where I can and hit play.
It seems to take my One15 more towards high-end headphones territory, meaning ultra clean extension down low and even more superb mids.
The funny thing is the voices seem lifted and more palpable, and the snares have better focus/transients.
Clearer phantom center.
I'm already super pleased how it performs in a "bedroom" set-up. I may be lucky with the room as well, the bass is deep but dry and "controlled".
I'm just starting with Flexbase and it already sounds superb. Cheers
Excellent!
This is what happens when you pull the majority of the bass energy out of the drivers that handle the mid-range. I am also very lucky with my room situation.
Just be careful not to slide down into the Audiophile rabbit hole.

With all this enhanced resolution, subtle changes are more easily perceived. It's not that they were not there before. They are just presented a bit more clearly.
With Great Resolution comes Great tendencies to mangle Marvel Universe quotes.... I have been exploring the wold of USB cleaning devices, cables and filters. This is all relatively subtle stuff, but so delicious when you get things tuned to your taste. None of it is critical to getting your work done, but it can make life more enjoyable while doing it.
