^He nails it... I don't think most people understand how expensive a "serious" hybrid rig is. For those who prefer a hybrid setup, $3000 is a tremendous bargain in comparison to investing in a piece-by-piece config... and SSL to that fact. A Sigma + a feeding audio interface alone will run you almost double, then you'll need a high-end A/D to capture the Analog print back in (as he mentions a Symphony MK2 etc).
