Like any of these series such as the "apes", the owners are like herbalife salesman about NFT's.
And in pro audio culture, we know there are people who will pay for plugins with a certain graphic, name, or legacy attached. We know that much.
Also, I let Youtube play while I wash dishes, etc. The snake oil seen in these preroll adverts that is SELLING to these kids is astounding.
I just think this is where things will go.
As far as NFT metaverse stuff goes, people are buying "virtual rooms". I don't see why you couldn't design and sell someone a virtual mix room at some point.
I just don't see the appeal in scarcity of a tool. I also don't see why someone would pay $$$$$ for a plugin that will require updates and so on for compatibility, or why someone would develop one and then maintain it for a very small band of users.
They're not really the same things.
I admit I'm sceptical about NFTs and any value they have (as opposed to crypto in general, which I totally see the point in).
