On topic, any details about the tubes used/included?
We are using 6N3P – in this particular case those are Russian NOS – however, those are selected – And I really mean it. Around 30-40% goes to the trash barrel. We have created very specialized tools in order to match 2 Triodes per each tube (dual) and to match those with each other, which strongly affects stereo operation. The first significantly reduces “thumb” or “thumping” very common for vari-mus, the second check aligns the gain reduction and overall level for both channels.

Design of this one was more like a top-down desgin - so first we assumed the topology (architecture) - which was vari-mu - then we've added feature set (inptut, output, threshold was very important to us, and we also wanted some additional attack options) - this strongly affected side chain circuit. On the other hand all vari-mus when it comes to topology are quite similar - there are of course some differences, but nothing major enough to name it entirely new design. However I also would like to highlight, that incorporating digital recall into any design, force You to change a lot of early assumptions - the art is to do it right. I'm starting to think that I didn't answer the question

, or did I?
