Why do you need TB3 or 4???

What do you base your need on as a user... because for a company that sells these USB 2 is probably the only thing that makes the most sense in so many ways.

Why do you need TB?

To me people who keep begging for new interface connections every 1.5 - 2 years, remind me of simps who want their wallet emptied as a fetish.
Audio Interface - Low Latency Performance Data Base
Fireface UFX+ TB, rating: 8.83
Fireface UFX+ USB, rating: 8.48

Not a big difference by any means, but it's there. So I don't think it's a silly question.

The main reason to use USB over TB is compatibility, even though nowadays they could probably do both over the same USB-C connector, therefore maintaining USB compatibility while giving TB users the option to maximize the performance.

Thunderbolt technology gives the Fireface UFX+ real PCI Express audio performance under Mac and Windows, with lowest latency, lowest system overhead and lowest CPU load.
I guess they're a marketing focused company now...
