Now that I've upgraded my always-on VSX instance with top-shelf components, I just listened 3X to my Trinnov mix I posted earlier and Howie's Room for me is 100% perfect, immaculate.. 100% L/R balanced and even in its finest details, exposing really fine multitrack informalities that was baked in the track stems.. these small informalities are not noticeable on anything else I've listened to this song on, Howie's Room is the first time I'm hearing these small artifacts... Really amazing. Here's the Trinnov mixed demo song:

My advice, I'm using Tonal Balance Control before my VSX at all times.. if TBC is in the pocket as seen in this screen shot, with the Crest Factor in dead center (meaning you have no bass phasing issues) Howie's Room is going to sound crystal clear... I will suggest anyone trying this seeking to get the Crest Factor centered.. you'll need to reach for an elliptical filter and mono your bass below 120-200Hz until your crest factor is centered.. That will remove what's likely causing most issues in Howie's Room... as in his actual room, he likely has an always-on hardware elliptical bass mono setting in play, I believe content will need to provide that bass mono phase correction for Howie's Room to work correctly.. so anything playing in that room with bass phase issues is going to sound wonky

I use a SSL Fusion for my elliptical mono'izing (Space dialed to -4) Thanks.

Very nice setup. Thanks for the explanation. I love the bettermaker on stand. Look like this robot from "Short Circuit"
