It will just depend on how willing a user is to learn a new “room”. It always feels strange working in a new room or on pair of headphones. I got LCD-X a couple months ago and there is a pretty serious learning curve using them for mixing (corrective eq helps a lot but it’s still taking time). The most shocking thing for me with the LCD-X was the amount of detail I heard once eq’d. It almost hurt my brain to have that level of detail being sent straight into my ears. I typically mix almost 100% on NS-10s and flip between a single auratone and Adam A7X. I’ll see how VSX feels for myself once I get my pair this week.
