Yeah, IMO the basic problem with most controllers is they range from giving very little, to absolutely no thought into how the end user sets up their keyboard, mouse, trackpad, griffin powermate, midi keyboards, seaboards, drum machines etc
with the controller.
That's what was wrong with the CS18ai to me (along with not having better integration of 3rd party plugs), as well as D-command, Control24, C24, Nuage, S4, S6, etc.
Even with the slates, while they physically integrate OK, what I don't like there is you have a mouse and a touchscreen and you start doing something with the touch screen and then have to switch to the mouse because the resolution isn't fine enough. Same-ish problem in that it isn't one unified workflow...
Console One, to me, is great. While it is limited in scope, in some ways that's what I want- something that does one thing well, really well, and is able to do in a way that doesn't get in the way of other things that do something really well.
