The OB-6 can easily be replaced with an OP-X Pro II. You then can still buy a used JD-XA and System-8, which is exactly what I did.

The only bad thing about the XA is that abysmal 12dB filter. Being a kid of the seventies, I love the design (after the application of the overlays).

The JD-XA was... interesting for a while but next to the OB-6 is was clearly not up to snuff so I let it go without remorse. Roland could have made more of that synth's analog engine but it still wouldn't sound like OB-6.

The Prologue sounded terrible for an analog.
