HS8s are even worse. They sound like some sci-fi space radio transmission all the time.
And I don't care either.
Yamaha HS drivers are unshielded. My friend had that issue with a pair of HS8 in his home studio. WiFi router in the other room caused space noises from whatever speaker was placed there.
My HS5 only hissed very slightly with my ear 1 foot from the tweeter. My most recent Hs8 pair had bad filter caps in the power supply and the transformer had mains hum audible through the woofers.
