Just throwing this out there, but do you think the 2600 wasn’t the only synth Behringer and Korg discussed during that infamous meeting?
Perhaps the Behringer FM teaser yesterday was hinting at a DX7 clone and the OPSIX is Korg’s response.
I agree there is a rushed feeling about this design, the way the controls are shifted to the left, like this is a revision from an original 3 octave version (like Modal’s Argon8x config).
