I haven't watched the video but I have the Bx and the Waves and find that in general the Bx wipes the floor with the Waves, which sounds pinched and flat in comparison (to me).

But I suspect that if you could peer behind the curtain of these cross-branding business deals you might find that they're just looked at by a company like SSL as a way to generate an income stream and there's not some rigorous oversight or cooperation on the actual product. That's the only way I can conceive of something like the totally messed up metering going out the door on an official release.
