A lot of folks will complain if there's no wet/dry knob on a plugin - personally I hate the things with a passion. If I want parallel comp then I'll do it myself. But I can see how they're useful for others.
Some people just like being able to work fast. I personally prefer doing parallel compression on my own rather than inside the plugin just because I’m not a fan of having a plugin doing a parallel job just sitting right there in the middle of my main sources signal chain. So I totally understand that, but not everyone works that’s way. and to their defense it’s a pretty simple function to add to plugin like how adding input/output is simple. Basically, just having that functionality for some people is really helpful. And if you don’t want to use it, you don’t need to, it won’t change anything besides adding a function that could be helpful for certain tasks when needed.
But in this circumstance I think people are more worried about not having the ability to control the output so that they can A/B the signal easier I guess. It’s not the BIGGEST problem but it’s something that COULD be helpful if it’s there. That’s all it is really.... I’ll be honest that it’s sort of a petty thing to complain about but if it doesn’t hurt anybody by adding it then I don’t see why they shouldn’t add it.
