This design is not a circuit model. Original machine was meausred step by step. I don't know JS_Waveshaping_Distortion unit but most of the stock waveshaper/saturation designs are inspired by analog machines' circuits. So it is possible and you can find similarities between JS_Waveshaping_Distortion and other saturation plugins too.
