That would be fine as long as the porous absorber does not actually come in contact with the limp membrane.

I haven't checked, but I would suspect that having a thick porous absorber in close proximity to the front of the trap would likely modify the behavior of the trap to some extent (perhaps lower the Q or the tuned frequency a little), so you might want to experiment before you commit to that.
