Even if this was just a re-skin, which it isn’t, there is no way this was gonna come free. You know what happens when you make an officially licensed product vs a non-officially licensed product? You have to pay for that license. Down to dollars and cents, SSL is gonna want a cut and seeing as how sales of the previous unlicensed version pocketed zero dollars for SSL - if an update was given free then SSL would not be happy campers.
