Thinking about getting it for free to me is just funny. If they are about to give it for free, why do they announce it as a new plugin? It is announced as a new plugin somehow. Not an update it is new new as in new.
What a weird post. Legacy version? It was released a year ago and this is obviously an update to what we already own. If they do decide to charge something it would be a minor fee. Brainworx is not a company that treats their old paying customers as complete trash.
