Pretty sure that was before Sennheiser purchased them, wasn't it? It's just going to end up being the TLM-67 with a transformer and tube crammed in there (more than likely).

While we´re at wild guessing and speculating - maybe they just found new and steady supply for that alloy for the laminations.
