1. It has built-in DAW functions instead of a cheap looking overlay.
2. They moved the led meters next to the slider to a meter bridge which does undo a lower profile.
3. It's black instead of silver.
What else is different or improved? Everyone is elated over this:

But what is the improved or new features over the QconPro?
Good question.

For my workflow the next improvement needs to be on the part of Steinberg and most every other DAW. With basic MCU protocol, Cubase will follow whatever you touch on Qcon. But Qcon will NOT follow whatever you touch on Cubase. You have to manually shift banks. I thought this was the fault of the protocol, but I'm told each DAW should compliment it. I believe this is true because the one exception I have heard is a version of Logic where Qcon DOES follow what you click on in Logic.
I was told by Mixware (USA distributor) that it would not replace the QconPro. That was 1.5 years ago. They say street price is about 1k. The QconPro in the USA was around $800. I can't imagine them keeping both models.
Check the official forum. There seems to have been recent changes to this so that the MCU device now follows channel show/hide.... if that's what you mean.... or did you mean specifically not that but 'selection'....?
