the s3 is easily affordable for me and most project guy, its just not at all what i want, and ocming from eucon with avid now owning it with the full set of artist series i would rather a dedicated yanmaha made cubase controller.
i thought the s3 was nicely built and much better than the artist series especially for live. but for me it didn't cover nearly the bases i wanted and i am very leery of avid controlling the eucon protocol now
i guess if they close it off to the other daw's then there will be an issue. i was also never that happy with how it was coded and when avid took it over i wonder how involved steiny were anymore, when it was before avid i think they helped write it but now? who knwos, maybe they rule with it still
anyway to each their own.
