I bought my Mackie Logic control (I added the chip that let it work with Cubase/PT) about 12 years ago!

It still looks like new and touch wood works exactly 100% as it did the day I bought it 12 years ago!

So if Mackie or someone else did a 16 fader unit nothing more than similar quality for £1500 it would be fantastic - there is absolutely no need for it to cost £3.5K

I imagine the reason SSL don't do a controller only version on the Nucleus for around £1500 - £1800 is because if they did they would never sell another £3.5K Nucleus with an onboard audio interface!

Why people keep making 8 channel controllers is beyond me - 16 or 24 is what we want.

Think 24 faders - would need but a single bank button press to access 48 channels.

Even 16 faders is only two presses to bank 48 channels.

I guess I'll just have to save and search for a second hand Nucleus!
