Talking about the Avid S3, what other DAWs is it compatible with ? and how do you like it so far when working with Cubase, I'm guessing it works well with both (PC and Mac) ?
I'm on PC (Windows 8.1) , just wanted to make sure I won't have any issues if I decide to get the S3.

In terms of stability, it's been 100% rock solid for me on Win10 and on Win8.1 before that.
Overall, it's excellent with Cubase and in some ways it works even better than on Pro Tools -most notably it has the ability to customise how your plugin parameters appear on the controller, which you can't do in Pro Tools. The other great thing is that you can use the Cubase scalable mixer to match the on screen mixer channel widths to the controller. Then you can place your monitor directly behind the S3 much like a Nuage or S6, giving excellent visual feedback.
