If you have this massive Vibe, tremolo, overdriven warble into feedback tone going then you would not want any delay to further modulate and dirty up the tone. Having a quality 2290 type delay falling into the mix just makes for a better sound spectrum and definition. Anyway, not saying anyone should use anything. Use what you like if that is the sound you are after...
