If you're on a tight budget and want to buy one microphone only - dependable, versatile and great sound quality - this is the one. The first mike I ever bought and still massively in use. Good on many instruments, especially brass. The low noise level makes it perfect for overdubs in multi-track sessions.
I bought my first one about 7 years ago and it still works like a charm.
Sound:
The sound from this microphone is very honest. No coloration and not much of a character. This can be bad in some situations but for an all-rounder it's pretty much what you are looking for. Also it has a remarkably low noise level.
Features:
The mic comes in a case, has a mount, a low-cut and a 10db pad. Nothing special but everything you need and in fairly good quality. The shock mount is made of plastic and cannot handle much abuse...
Overall I'd buy this microphone again any day. I have not found anything better (or equal probably) in the price range!
