A modern take on the Siemens W295b, the Iron Age Audioworks LH95 EQ should be given strong consideration for a slot in your lunchbox. I took a pair of these EQs for a spin on kick, drum room, overheads, male & female vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, strings, piano and 2 buss. I never could get them to sound wrong or harsh. They held up even when being pushed to the max(+15db). The hi and low pass filters make them even more versatile, allowing you to really tailor the hi or low end shelf to what you're hoping to accomplish.

My favorite thing about these EQs is that they really make the source material come forward and jump out of the speakers in a larger than life way but never get harsh. I put together a video review so you can hear them in action:
