Live 2 track recording

My friend's folk band are playing a gig at the weekend and i wanted to nip down with a couple mics just to see what i could get. i dont want to spot mic anything as i want to keep it as simple as possible.

the room has a high-ish vaulted ceiling and is relatively big but i dont have any dimensions to hand. its a converted loft in a barn... with a bar!!

i am considering either an ortf pair with some oktavas or m/s with a se4400a and either an oktava or a rode. Im not expecting much as ive never done this kinda thing before but i thought considering its a reasonably nice room and will be relatively low pressure it might be worth a shot!

any suggestions welcomed.

ORTF with oktavas or rodes. Safe bet. Spot the bass if you can though

Sounds fun! I'll second the Oktava ORTF thing.
