One wedding operator asked me : can do something with the record, that it was possible to know the voice of the bride? ... I said no.
It sounds like an old phone and very noisy.

What's not to love is: below-par sensitivity, below-par directionality, higher handling noise, higher self-noise, lower SNR. That isn't to say that they are useless, but one must select the tool that will get the job done. Most of these problems would impact how useful they would be for nature recording where aficionados typically go for the highest sensitivity, lowest self-noise.

I believe hipporu is saying that his wedding recording of the bride had such poor SNR and fidelity that her voice was not even recognizable.

I've never used small diaphragm for voice but NTG3 surprisingly has very neutral response through out the spectrum. Yes it is brighter on top end but using it with some tube pre can capture nice upfront natural sound. I found it easier to handle than LDC using in untreated room. It is e specially good for dialog recording. It seems to work well with Millennia STT-1's tube pre with solid state compressor to catch some peaks.

Superlux E 525 S - Thomann Verkkokauppa

Somehow this interests me, they make surprisingly decent stuff for the money

Have the 525S, and it's ok for the price. Use it in wet or otherwise dangerous locations when I wouldn't risk losing an expensive mic.
