Question recording acoustic guitar, question?

I am recording a band this thursday and I had a quick question. We will be recording in a small house and I want to keep leakage to a moderate level but still maintain line of sight for all the band members so that the timing and feel is there. I am going to put the Drums in the largest room with bass and keys, which will run direct. The issue is that the singer needs to play acoustic guitar and sing at the same time. What mics and what position in the house should I consider for him?

I don't want to put him in his own room, but I also don't want a ton of drums in his guitar/vox mics. Could I use a sm58 on vox to keep the guitar out of it or does it even matter?

Thanks guys

See if you can get hold of some figure 8 mikes. A fig8 is excellent for close miking a guitar with its null toward the voice. Put another figure 8 on the voice as well, with its null pointing to the guitar. Isolation is excellent.

Do you have a floor plan or some photos so we can answer your questions more accurately?

I have a feeling it's going to be a "squashed box", naturally.
