any tape delay (analog or digital emulation) can give you that slapback sound, just set the delay very short (we're talking milliseconds) of course real tape sounds a lot better then plugins but they're cheaper/better options then that tascam deck which isn't even supposed to be used in that manner!

if you want analog sound then you don't need to have their same equipment all you need is analog equipment to produce and record entirely...its really that simple lol

I know that but what im asking is if theres any plugin tho make vocals sound analog you know?

From what he said, there was no technique. They had no clue what they were doing at the time...
