Anybody out there still using these in the Hip Hop/R&B world? Based on a another recommendation, I'm thinking about picking a pair of these up from someone who's selling them at a very good price. I was looking at the a pair of KRK VXT8's or an pair of JBL LSR6329P's, but the Tannoy's are very intriguing based on what I've read. I'm not in a position to hear them, so I'm going to need some help with making the decision. The one question I have is I know they've got 12 in woofers, but I want to make sure I'll be able to get the same (if not more) low end presence as with the KRK's and JBL's. I won't be able to add a sub, so I want to make sure I can hear (and feel) the low end. Anyone care to comment?
Now that I think about it. That is the only 2 places I've been at that had em. They sound good.
I believe it was a jbl control12 maybe on the smaller ones. Don't know what was in miami. Prob see on their website. I think that name was audiovisions.
Those are excellent for mixing hip hop if your room is right. But try to get a extra set because they blow easy. That's one of the reasons I stopped using them

Can you recommend a reasonably affordable amp to match them with?
