Starcadian! For the symphonic tracks on Sunset Blood (“Binary Stars”, “The Floppy Disk”, “It Ends Now”), how did you create the string, horn, and percussion sections? Was there any input from performers, or was it all done with synths? Similar question for the trumpet on “Sgt. Tagowski”.

Those are all MIDI, every single note is either ProjectSam or 8Dio. (Funnily enough I find writing orchestral music waaaaay easier and faster than writing a pop hook.)
Ugh the Tagowski horns... So those are actually from Reason but I can't find them anymore so if I ever lose that sound file, the vinyl remaster is borked haha. I'm actually on the look out for good Horn VSTs, Session Horns is ooookaayyyy but not as naturalistic as I want them.
