Your pads, Sir!

Simply put, they are awesome.From FLA to Delerium to FF to Noise unit.Which machines do you use(or used) for these?How would you layer them?Do you break up chords into different synths while layering?Effects & settings, IF you recall...

On the early records, we'd rent whatever the latest ROMpler was for the pads, until we got the K2000, which handled most of them from TNI on..Now its usually layers of different things. I use the Waldorf Q+ a lot lately for pads, mixed with Omnisphere and things like that.
