This time, I have a question about the EMI REDD consoles used in Abbey Road back in the 60's & 70's.

My question is, what kind of functions/features did you have on these desks? Aside from EQ, were there things like aux sends, or did you just have to patch things in as inserts?

Sorry if my question seems stupid, but I'm only 20 and I love vintage gear so much.

Hi Dan, If you are really interested might I suggest you check out a book entitled Recording The Beatles by Brian Kehew and Kevin Ryan. It will tell you everything you could ever wish to know about ALL the equipment we used back then. I think that would be better than me trying to get into it and more than likely going through a senior moment and getting everything wrong.
