Welcome Paul Whittington (& introduction)

Hi Paul, great that you're here. Let's have some fun with synths.

For those unfamilliar with Paul's work (it is a new company, after all) here's an introduction to our guest' work, and the Malevolent synth.

here's a biography:
Quote:
PWM is a new British Electronic Musical Instrument Manufacturer based in Leighton Buzzard, UK. It was founded in 2018 by Paul Whittington who has enjoyed a 23 year career in Music Technology working for Evolution, M-Audio, Avid and Focusrite-Novation designing and product managing many well known synths, keyboards and music-making devices!
Paul is a Keyboard Wizard, Music Technologist and Synthesiser Designer. He attended York University to study Music Technology and graduated in 1995 with BEng(hons) MIET. He joined Evolution Electronics in 1998 as a Product Specialist and also worked as a session piano player for Big George (The Office) and played keyboards with London band Kold Fusion at noteable venues such as Dingwalls (Camden), Club Sound (Leicester Square) and The Borderline (Soho).
When Evolution merged with M-Audio Paul came back full-time to manage their keyboard portfolio and went on to make keyboard products such as: KeyStation, KeyStation Pro 88, KeyStation Mini 32, KeyRig, KeyStudio, Oxygen, Oxygen 8, Axiom, Axiom Pro, Ozonic, ProKeys, ProKeys Sono, MidAir, iControl, Trigger Finger and Venom as well as the M-Audio “Evolution" DCP Pianos.
During this time Paul would travel to China four or more times a year and worked closely with several specialist manufacturers who shared the same desire to make quality musical instruments. This would prove to be extremely valuable later.
In 2011 he moved to Novation where his first product there was the MiniNova followed by Launchkey, Launch Control XL, Launchpad, Launchpad Pro, Audio Hub, MiniNova, Bass Station II, Circuit, Circuit Mono Station, Peak, and InControl. The last product Paul worked on for Novation was the SL Mk III.
Paul says “At this point in my career I looked back at the 20 or so years behind me and forwards to the 20 or so years ahead and came to the realisation that this was the ideal point in time to start something new! I had gained a great deal of experience and met some fantastic people and I wanted to gather a collective of great minds who would collaborate with me to make the best products imaginable!”
So, Paul Whittington Group (PWG) was born and out of that would grow the brand PWM (Paul Whittington Music). The group is founded on a partnership with a manufacturer in China and a collaboration with groups of genius friends working on different products. The first product is the PWM Malevolent.

PWM Malevolent is a Modular Pure Analogue Synthesiser. It is everything you want from a true analogue design yet will sit happily in your studio with USB-C, MIDI and analogue clock I/O, and easy interfacing between digital and analogue worlds. It is fully Eurorack compatible with 19x 3.5mm jack outputs and 19x 3.5mm jack inputs. All this is achieved without compromise on the analogue side as Malevolent has two proper VCOs derived from a 4046-based core that will sing and snarl in equal measure!
The opto-FET controlled 2-pole Sallen-Key filter will whistle and burble unlike anything you can get out of a digital model. Indeed this is the whole point of Malevolent – it lives and breathes.
