I've been watching videos about your work flow in protools as well as listening to many of your amazing sounding records.
You do very small/moderate amount of equing at different stages.
When I follow these guidelines I often end up needing some nudging or drastic eq to get rid of harshness. Thing that I barely see high profile engineers do. Why?
Are the session I mix poorly recorded?
Do you have another way dealing with these issues (hard mediums/harshness etc)?
It's hard to say without hearing or knowing what is going on in multiple projects but it could be the recorded levels are too much... It could be clocking issues... I'm not sure what you mean by nudging?
