You've worked with a lot a great people over the years. Is there one particular piece of advice that you got along the way that had a long lasting effect on how you work?

When I first got started engineering (maybe a month or 2) somebody told me not to me lazy and go out in the studio and see what it sounds like in the room. That's something that stuck with me and I still live by.
