could be a long Optical TB cable .. this one is 60 meters ... Optical Thunderbolt Cables | Sonnet

Gannon was on the session and says:

"3 ft from computer to Apollo #1, then three 1 foot cables between the other Apollos"

so then the monitor and keyboard / mouse were extended ??

on the main rig not the Print rig of course ..

I believe so. Not sure what kind of monitor that was or how it was fed.

Hi John,

It was really simple - my MacBook Pro was in the machine room just a couple of feet from the Apollos. So, as Scott said, just short thunderbolt runs there.

We connected my machine to Joel's KVM and sent USB and DVI to the rollaround cart next to the console.

We used ScreenSharing to switch between the Print Rig and the multitrack.

Joel is really technically saavy and does all of his own network admin work, so dropping my Apollo rig into his existing infrastructure was cake.
