I like H-Delay better than the MM delay, the Triple-D might be useful, but I need more time with it to know...

Looks are disturbing as always with the signitiure stuff still much better than the Masarati plugs.

I´ve seen the bundle for 200 USD, so I´ll prabably grab them...

Man, I always thought the Maserati were the best looking of the bunch! Haha. Goes to show ya...

After using it one day I can say what a great plugin bundle. EQ's great, 15 kHz on the highs sounds really really sweet...smooth and nicely saturated, nothing like with other EQ plugins I have.

Toneshaper and Tripple D can make some serious magic and are really quick to fix problems or to give some weight to the sound.

Reverb and Delay can produce some really special tones. Thank you Waves for this gift.

I've never liked any sig series 'cept for CLA bass and effect ones i think
but these ones look interesting, I don't think there's any innovation
sound-wise but the delay for example offers a whole chain in one piece
which is nice, same goes for the reverb. The triple D also seem pretty
useful, again something you can do with a multiband compressos probably
or a dyneq but this one seems just faster to dial in
A sneak peak on (maybe) common chains MM uses
Ima try them

How are they on the cpu? I remember the CLA ones being pretty heavy
from the video the multiband compressor seems to have more than 2k samples latency

It's nice to see the signature bundles evolving into something beyond "preset plugs." To be fair, they can sound pretty good. CLA Bass and Vox have found there way into many of my mixes. But this looks like a more versatile set that might find use all over a mix. I'll demo these soon.

How is the CPU usage?

I like the concept but the toy like GUI and the abstract control ranges put me a bit off... let's dial 20 at 65...

I haven't really cared for any of the signature series before but these look very interesting. The REDD was the first plug in a long time that I really needed to have and these look very useful. Slowly but surely WAVES is making reconsider my outlook on the whole WUP thing. I really like that these don't look like preset machines. For the most part they have proper controls with well thought out interfaces. Like what I see so far. BTW work2do, great review

Played with them real quick and damn these are absolutely great
I was expecting them to be interesting but not nearly this good
The verb and delay can easily become my go to right away,
they are absolutely fantastic especially the verb, I don't recall
any other waves verb to sound this good.
The eq I like the highs and mids, not a fan so far of the other bands
but the highs are really nice and smooth.
Distortion is interesting with the attack and rel function,
only one "voice" but very tweakable with the eq
I don't like the multiband compressor
but the real winner is the tripleD, now that is something
so easy to dial in, great deesser and overall I can totally see
many instances of that one being used on a mix.
Damn gotta spend some money now, but well done Waves!

Tonal Shaper is a major CPU hog

I love these plugs and agree with the Reverb being a pleasant surprise.
Also the EQ which has moved up there with my Sonnox
big down side: the Tonal Shaper although good is an extreme CPU sucker
3 instances on a session and you're are done.
I have a Mac intel 7 with a SSD so plenty of horsepower.

I just checked on my 3770 quickly. I loaded 30 instances what caused my asio load to jump from around 25% to 60%. I don't think it's that cpu hungry.

I couldn't really find any use for it tho. Where I tried it, broadband eq'ed parallel compression always sounded more pleasant or natural to my ears in comparison. What are you guys using it on?

Don't wanna sidetrack this thread... but are there any Mercury owners out there who can give me a quick step by step on how to install it? I can never figure out if you have to reinstall everything, or can just install and authorize the single plugin.... (D'oh. Yes, I am THAT thick-witted.)

I use WOLI & don't select or de-select anything. It will then install any new plugins you don't already have in Mercury.

So what do you think Jezzo?...i think this set is the best of the Artist range so far...
and whilst the others became interesting to try at some point if i got stuck..the MM may just have gone to the top of my list whilst building up a sound!

I feel a good future set would be a 'parallel processing' set from Brauer.

I like the Tone Shaper a lot. I think it´s great on bass guitar, you can dial in a huge but controlled low end. It´s also great on drums, snare drum in particular, you can bring out the "crack" nicely. It works well to make anything cut through the mix if needed without making it sound harsh.

I agree, its not the most natural sounding plugin, it´s rather radical, but therefor very musical.

As long as your WUP is still active you'll get it at no charge, otherwise you'll have the demo.

Got to agree with you regarding the REDD, for me is one of the best Waves have created and been mixing these new songs and REDD is in every mix especially on the DRUMS/BASS tracks.
And for the series, the MM Sig are indeed one of the best they have done because of the additional features added in each plugin.

Loving them. I believe we should sooooon see some Pensado Series & maybe a Jimmy Douglas Series too??? Come on Waves, make it happen Just a quesiton of time

I...can't...resist...must not....*aaaaarrrrgghh* too strong....I'm falling into the dark side!!!! All BS aside, these are some of the most useful tools I've ever worked with. Pure creative fun and veeeery easy to get where you wanna go. The tripple D is such a great idea but all the plugs sound fantastic. IMHO by a good margin the very best of the Artist series. Between these and REDD, WAVES has finally made me accept WUP
Mi sincere congratulations to everyone involved on the creation of these, great job
