That came out of nowhere, didn't expect that at all.

Are there any significant differences between this and the original, other than the size?

True. I like it: both the name and the white & lights sparklyness ... but i'm also not their target audience.

They turned the spark into the sparkle. What else could you have wanted?

Considering the Minibrute is just starting to ship for some preorderers, that is fast!

I wouldn't mind a Sparkle: Maschine physical control and sounds as a plugin in a DAW you actually use.

Hay, that's just what I wanted to do.
Sky down a mountain while thinking about playing my drum machine...Lol.
They beat me to it...Lol.

Stick with the drum machine information stop wasting video on unimportant unrelated junk please. Maybe I need to bite into a ''York Peppermint Patty'' first.

& blessings.

I like the idea, for that starting price, use it to get away from PC when trying out ideas, load it with your own samples.

If you actually watch the 23 minute tutorial video for this you realise how much potential this thing has especially used with your own samples.

Arturia SparkLE Walkthrough, Demo, Tutorial - YouTube!

Very interested myself

If any of you are considering this I will say that I have both Spark and Maschine and am currently selling the Maschine. I just have too much fun making beats on the spark, and the ability to significantly change the drum sounds on the fly with the built in synthesis makes it really easy to come up with some crazy beats.

The drums sound amazing. Even the included analog sounds can be warped enough to come up with some cool basslines and synth leads.

I love the Spark and on my mac mini 4 gigs of ram it runs majestically!!!

Maybe the rest of the world doesn't look at techno as disposable as you do. Just because your tastes are limited (and obviously I'm taking this from your comment so this may or may not be the case) doesn't mean the entire spectrum of different electronic music is disposable.

Maybe try listening to the music with a more open mind. There is something amazing in every genre of music and I listen to all of it each in the appropriate time whilst appreciating each type for its own reason.

I guess my point is you could say the same about rock or any genre. "Just what the world needs. Another guitar for creating more disposable acoustic music." There has been over saturation in music for ages, there is crap in every genre and there are gems in every genre.

of course, everyone's tastes are limited to a certain degree.
limited to whats tolerable to ones own ears I guess.
yes it spreads all genres today.
I love loads of electronic stuff.its just the intro video reminded me of all the crap you hear spewing forth at the local guitar center demo rooms.
my ears kinda shut down..
either way I'll likely see it at NAMM tomorrow and see what it does

Ah I see, with that clarification I actually agree.

Some stuff I can't stand that others can. I also feel the same about that sound. I am sick of it. I did like it at one point years ago for about a year, and then it quickly got old.

I personally prefer stuff that doesn't wear you out in 10 minutes.

Arturia says in videos that it is shipping in Q1. They've improved the layout compared to the original Spark and I love the size. Although I have Maschine right now, I think Spark's approach is really nice for making drum patterns. Definitely will be checking this out.

It's barely visible and useless for live performance.

I have an original Maschine, mostly unused.
Never really got the hang of it and it just never "flowed" for me, I guess.
I will be selling it and giving this a run.
