I don't want to sound like the only one complaining, but I'd prefer if Softube were working on their own products IMHO.

Just sayin'...

What do you think the motivation is behind Softtube collaborating rather than releasing it alone?

Dunno, maybe they make more money this way. No idea.

But I mean that I prefer the kind of gear they release (A-Range, Summit, Tube-Tech stuff).

Yeah, maybe they split the development costs. Who knows!?

Obviously they make more money. Both companies have serious talent when it comes to developing plugins - so as consumers we should not complain.

Anyhow, checkd the demos - and these sound absolutely stunning! They are slightly pricey - but I think we also get a lot for our money here. First no-brainer from NI for a long while for me.

More reverbs! I just got TSAR and V3. Gonna try LX480 and Phoenix next month but these NI plugins sound pretty awesome!

I wouldn't... they would require a dongle.

wow.. it's been a real deluge of reverbs these last months ! They're popping out every day ...
So, i guess the RC24/48 are supposed to be an emulation of the Lex 224 and the 480L ? Going to try them as soon as i have a minute.

lol, PSP piano reverb is not quite the same thing.

I'm wondering if these two will be available as separate buys in the near future, like Premium Tube.

They do sound really good from the audio demos. I'm reluctant to demo them right now as I don't have the time. One wonders when one has too many reverbs... Nah..

Think these ares going to be in K9 Ultimate?

I'm tempted to try these out. I currently am actually pretty satisfied with rverb and haven't really looked for any other verbs *ducks*

If they wouldn't make more money they would obviously chose to use their own brand. This is a proof that dongles are not essential for selling plugins.

OTOH I'm very curious about how the 48 compares with the similar algos from LX480. The pricing is definitely more attractive. I do find the interface a bit too minimalist though.

I briefly tried both of them. The RC24 is fantastic ! It's as beautiful as my UAD Lex224, although somewhat different in texture. The UAD has more definition than the NI wich sounds a bit cloudier. But the tone is still gorgeous and musical..

The RC48 is much darker , but it sounds as if they just tweaked the RC24, not like a different algorithm. It sounds quite different than the Relab.

In my experience NI have the absolute worst customer service of any gear company I've ever dealt with. Which makes it very easy to not even bother demoing these.

I like that it is minimalistic. Different strokes for different folks I guess :-).... I assume with coupling with NI their may be cash up front involved..who knows.
I am loving these two, especially the RC24 which for me is a little bit more 'transparent'...

RC 48 is fantastic, it reminds me so much of the good old days in the ECM studio...

Here is a little Impro with Lounge Lizard 4 processed by RC 48:

They sound nice, but to me very different from the LXP bundle and the Relab which in comparison to the NIΒ΄s sound very close to each other. Maybe they shouldnt have labled them as Lexicon emulations...

Hm. I listened to demos on website. Not so impressed. But I also don't like to much Relab (very artificial and not to pleasant tails). On the other hand - Exponential Audio R2 really got my attention. Well - after all it's good to have a choice

Tried quickly RC48, makes everything sound good. Damn.

I like the simple gui and everything is spot on. Takes seconds to dial in great sounding stuff and the presets are good.

These look really cool, but don't we have enough 'ruhverb' out there already?

I mean, sampling of the Bricasti for Nebula is almost done, we have the Valhalla stuff (among a few others to understate) that's amazing too.

Do you guys that have the Valhalla stuff, after demoing these, are they a good compliment?
