While I can't read the future with any degree of certainty, I can say for sure that we currently have no plans to drop ilok protection.

I don't have to use 64-bit as long as a 32-bit plugin works ok. But trying to demo UBK-1, Sonar 8 64/Win 7 64 can't scan the VST. Any word on this?

Realize I'm bumping an old thread, how are people feeling about this now? Wondering how you're using it. Personally I love it with the Clariphonic, Decapitator, and VCC. Any tips for using on the 2 Buss?

I'm feeling pretty darn fine about the UBK1!!
Nothing else sounds like it imo. The other day I annihalated the drum overheads with the UBK1 and it was instant ambiance and energy. It was freakin incredible.
So I duplicated the overheads and whacked them with a different setting on the ubk1. Sounded huge.Too huge as a matter of fact. just used the one squashed overhead blended in.
Love this plug.
As far as the 2 buss, I've never been able to get it to work there.

Just got my iLOK2 and migrated all my plugs, demoed the UBK first and bought within 5 mins. Very unique and unlike another comp out there I have heard. Definitely worth a demo.

wrong thread oops

A new 64 bit AAX version is up (1.2.1). But I had a few issues with the installation. Got a message during installation saying that the 'package was signed with an invalid certificate,' and secondly, the installer didn't actually install the plugin. It didn't overwrite the older 1.2 AAX build. I had to manually remove the 1.2 AAX build from the AAX folder for it to be able to install the new build.

Anyone else with the same issues?

I was on the Kush homepage and saw something new to me on the UBK-1... a green Link symbol?
And it has "VU" stamped inside the VU-meter.

I'm using v1.2.1 AAX 64-bit. I don't see it / dont' know how to enable it.

Actually maybe it's me but don't tend to use it. I gotta say this is one of the best emulations ever. I just told a guy getting into mixing to buy this and the Clariphonic as first things. Can make anything sound good with those. Gonna try the Elektra to see. I love this guys gear and outlook, musical and spot on.

Does Kush allow license transfers? I completely forgot I had this until the thread popped up. Don't ever use it any more and now I'm thinking of selling it.

Are you using it on a mono track? If so it won't be there.

I've used both mono and stereo - but no link sign here. What exactly is linked? Does it have to be enabled by some key/mouse combination?

It's iLok so yes, you transfer it yourself at the usual $25 cost. Nice shameless plug btw.

I'm using vst x64, works fine here.
It links L-R together, off they compress independently.

Sorry didn't mean to plug a sale, I'm not even selling yet, was genuinely wondering if it was allowed. I know it's ilok but some developers don't like it.

shatz, I sold a Clariphonic just days ago with no issues. I searched the Kush site beforehand and didn't find any related info or special instructions.

Ah, I think I know now. I use AAX (Pro Tools) so the feature is part of the Pro Tools insert feature.
