The same sort of confusion over the controls and actions happened over the LA2A emulation in Digital Performer (on a MUCH bigger scale, kind of a freakout). The thing is, that's the way an LA2A works, more or less. Some people just aren't familiar with the the variety of older compressors out there. They don't all work the same, so maybe all software compressors shouldn't either.

weird demo issue here.

im getting a cpu hit of 27% on an i7 920 oc'd to 3ghz.

even sound toys decapitator only registers 6% on my machine.

This is an awesome vocal compressor! Meters do seem a little off - I'm getting a ton of compression, and the meter is barely moving at the highest compression setting.

The max cpu i get with a 2.4 core2duo is 9%.

With your cpu it should be considerably less.

I have had a couple of reports of similar so i'm looking
into it. An update will be released in a few days.

- Improved metering ballistics.
- Added bypass button.
- GUI refinements.

I am demoing the comps and the eq from Mellowmuse right now and I have to admit these are all VERY good sounding plugins. The eq can easily hold up to the big names in business, so can the comps!

Reaper was the only host in which I could see this higher than usual cpu usage.
This has been addressed in the latest CP2V v1.3 update, now available.
