Back in the day, I loved the LXP1. I have a lot of affection for that sound. May be nostalgia, though.

Even looking at the faceplate of an LXP1 reminds me of having a dayjob and dreaming that I would one day do this stuff for a living. So I have soft spot in my heart for the LXP1.

And I remember it sounding pretty great too. But I didn't have as much experience back then.

This was announced at NAMM two months ago... It's still a month or two away from being released.

YEAH! Don't count on it. I bought the hardware PCM96, and didn't even get a coupon discount for the software version.

I still have the 1, the 5 and an MRC. None of it's been turned on in years. They're okay... but let's hope they modeled the plug-ins after the 15. Even then, I'll probably pass.

Also, it's funny how the PCM bundle makes this seem like a bargain! I am glad that it will exist, and it'll be great for some. Bring on the MPX bundle for a hundred bucks and I'm in!

heh

I remember when I used to love the PCM60.
It's funny because I'm not sure if I genuinely liked the sound of it, or if it was because it was so easy to dial in and I didn't get side-tracked with a million options.

If I found one cheap enough on eBay or something, I'd probably buy it simply out of nostalgia.

I completely agree.

You can actually change the graphics of the PCM Native bundle - they have saved the graphics in a subfolder called Resources so it's VERY easy to create skins for the bundle.

$399.

They better sound better than the MX hardware line which is around the same pricepoint.

I don't think this is the case. Unless Lexicon had developed a bunch of algorithms and never used them.

Thank you for that insight, I'm sorry to hear the toll it took on the staff. It did however lose me a lot of money (I was 18 at the time, my first 'pro audio' card), they were $1000 here in Australia. I kept the product in good faith that the promised working drivers would come instead of taking it back for a refund, then it was too late to return it and they basically said "sorry guys it'll never work, thanks for your money". Sorry to go off topic. There were people who paid a higher price then just financial, but that's my story

Sorry to hear about that. But let's be honest. We are dealing with a niche market. The risks are big. We are lucky we even have this wonderful market with wonderful tools allowing us to do amazing things. These are all relatively small companies trying to do big things and sometimes it doesn't go as planned. These companies arn't Sony or Apple with unlimited resources at their power.

I have Spotlight turned off so I can't search for Resources. Where is this folder, Warp?

Did you check the application package? Right click on icon and click on Show Package Contents and browse around those folders. I only have the pcm plugs installed on WinXP though so I am not sure.

Find the plug in a select Show package contents. A folder will open open and you will see a Contents folder. Within that is a Resource folder.
