Damn this new MCQ is atreat.

wow trying it on a kick drum I can instantly creates the vibe and sound I always try to achieve with the other eqs in the bundle but couldn't 100% get there.

this Eq is as good as the classic q if not better for Kick drums.

thanks PSP for your hard-work and generosity.

I'm D/L'ing now. From the little image in the e-mail, I thought it might be GML.

I came up on a 600, so this should be fun and sorta free.

(or $14.58, in my case and depending on how you look at it)

Just be aware that when using the McQ - the Midband Q switches are reversed from what the graphic indicates.
The broad Q is the top position and the narrow Q is the bottom.

I'm sure your ears will detect this for yourselves when you give it a go.

The Low Pass Filter is a FANTASTIC addition.

Yes, I realised this. My initial thought was: They made a mistake. Thanks for the info!

Who cares about cpu? There are too many average plugins with low cpu usage. Sound-quality is far more important imo

I luv the low end of the McQ and its versatility.

This is definitely the piece of the jigsaw that was missing in the squad bundle, a workhorse eq that is very versatile but still sounds exceptional.

Thanks PSP guys for being awesome! I'm downloading the update now, and the server must be very busy because it's taking awhile.

I really like the more precise value indicators on the GUI. Look forward to hearing it...

I wrote that this sounds amazing, what is the most important but 8% of one core CPU load on my Mac Pro which is the same load as 3 instances of Lexicon Native Reverb which is the best sounding reverb ever.

I love Squad EQs and McQ is awesome but it is trackingEQ and I prefer better CPU optimisation like waves, URS, NomadF etc. did.
For example Waves SSL4000 Channel Strip sounds phenomenal including EQ, comp, gate and eats one half of CPU against McQ....

Hopefully With a few more updates they will optimize there plugins....This was one of the big reason why I didnt mess with psp @ 1st because I had a Halty system.....But it doesnt take that much of a hit....

The sQuad upgrade is also out of x64 beta now and runs flawlessly in Sonar x64.

Excellent free upgrade from Mateusz, Antoni and team.

The eq´s you mentioned are indeed lower on the cpu, but I must honestly say that I don´t like none of them. They all just sound like standard plugin-eq to me (although the waves is special, I agree). The PSP-stuff is much more musical, so when I have to pay with cpu-cycles for the better sound...it´s ok for me!

If cpu is an issue, check out SPL EQ-Rangers. Low cpu and GREAT sound

Oooops it is our mistake. It seems that we put in the installers wrong (old) files. Today we will upload new installers to our server. We will send newsletter to our registered users when they will be ready to download.

I know everything you are talking about. I only say that there are some optimisations possible to make things better so why not

my 2 cents

Didn't we all decide in another thread that all software eq's were the same??

Sorry, I am confused.

After using these no we didnt. I think we decided if you didn't write music and sat with a load of scopes and meters that you could get a sound to null after 50 minutes of fkin around with different digital eq's where as if you used the eqs you like and do the job you need then they are all quite different.

Then again i may have lost that in the midst of all the grown men throwing their toys out the pram and arguing who had the biggest ........

Typically they are. These EQ's are however different.

Run a 1k -1dB sine wave through each EQ and look at a FFT. You will see that each EQ adds unique harmonic content to the original sine wave. Selecting SAT also will effect this (adds more). Retro Q and PreQursor do not add any harmonic content unless SAT is selected. These EQ's also have some pretty unique filter shapes, up-sample when running at 48khz or below and utilize 64 bit double precision. SAT also acts as a soft clipper when audio is driven into clipping range.
