Jonathan Schmid-Burgk: VisualVox polyphonic v0.9

Saw this on the KVR_VST site.

Audio effects and algorithmic music systems by Jonathan Schmid-Burgk (see Visual Vox)

Sounds like what the new Melodyne version does?

Yay now we all don't have to learn chords, just strum the guitar whatever way and pass it to the engineer to fix it in the mix

Wait...I thought there's some software which does the strumming as well?

(I'm not affiliated to the manufacturer)

It has nothing to do with Melodyne.
This is a harmonic progressions "helper" (by the way, VST only)

This comment makes me vomit:

"The Improvisator Plugin knows the mathematical logic and rules of harmonic theory. A composer no longer has to learn functions and rules by heart to create a classically correct piece of music. It directly offers technically correct alternatives to proceed and makes clever suggestions. No more manual calculating of complicated voicings so the composer can fully concentrate on the creative part of his work. "

Stupid f&*(ing rubbish

This one does seem to have more in common with the new melodyne;

Ok, that's right, the first link posted when the thread was opened, was about the VST improvisator software. Maybe it was just a wrong link (now I see it's been corrected), that's why I replied it had nothing to with Melodyne.

VisualVox is indeed related to Melodyne's approach, it's young and a bit buggy (besides being VST Mac only), but it's something to keep an eye on.

I thought one of the creative parts of music WAS coming up with the harmonic or in-harmonic pieces of the bigger picture. Ain't that songwriting?
